Lembaga Ilmu Pengetahuan Indonesia (LIPI) bekerjasama dengan AJB Bumiputera 1912 akan menyelenggarakan Lomba Karya Ilmiah Remaja (LKIR) ke-43 Tahun 2011. LKIR adalah ajang kompetisi ilmiah bagi remaja Indonesia usia 12-19 tahun yang memiliki ketertarikan di dunia penelitian, guna meningkatkan kesadaran dan kemampuan mereka dalam menganalisa permasalahan dan mencari solusi yang tepat melalui penelitian dan aplikasi iptek. Setiap peserta harus mengikuti semua persyaratan yang tercantum pada informasi di bawah ini sebelum membuat scientific paper/karya tulis ilmiah. Rangkaian pelaksanaan lomba berupa:

LRPTN merupakan kompetisi rancang pabrik tingkat nasional yang diadakan sebagai stepping stone bagi kalangan akademisi dan praktisi Teknik Kimia untuk mencurahkan ide dan pemikiran dalam pengembangan industri kimia. LRPTN XII 2011 mengusung tema “Pemanfaatan Sumber Daya Alam Indonesia Sebagai Upaya Peningkatan Ketahanan Pangan dan Energi Nasional”. Untuk lebih mempopulerkan tema LRPTN XII pada kalangan mahasiswa dan pelajar, diadakan Pre-Event berupa Kompetisi Esai dengan tema:

“Mengungkap Potensi Sumber Daya dan Inovasi Teknologi untuk Menjawab Tantangan Ketersediaan Energi dan Pangan Nasional”

Deskripsi Umum

Esai berisikan hasil pemikiran, pendapat, pandangan, solusi, dan sebagainya terhadap tema yang diberikan. Esai bersifat inovatif dan solutif serta ditulis secara lugas dan runtut menurut tata penulisan yang benar, dan merupakan hasil karya orisinil dari peserta yang belum pernah dipublikasikan maupun diikutsertakan dalam perlombaan sejenis.

Deskripsi Khusus

1. Topik esai harus berada dalam lingkup bidang energi atau pangan, maupun keduanya (energi dan pangan)
2. Topik esai dapat berupa optimalisasi pemanfaatan sumber daya, pengembangan teknologi, inovasi produk, maupun analisa kebijakan pemerintah dalam hal energi dan atau pangan nasional.

Ketentuan Lomba

1. Lomba terdiri dari dua kategori, yaitu pelajar dan mahasiswa.
2. Lomba bersifat individu dan tidak ada pungutan biaya untuk proses pendaftaran.
3. Peserta lomba berstatus aktif sebagai pelajar SMA atau mahasiswa S1 dari salah satu perguruan tinggi di Indonesia.
4. Setiap peserta diperbolehkan mengirim lebih dari satu esai dengan maksimal tiga esai.
5. Apabila peserta mengirim lebih dari satu esai, hanya satu esai terbaik yang dapat dikategorikan sebagai juara.
6. Esai memuat unsur-unsur identifikasi masalah, analisis, kesimpulan, dan rekomendasi atau solusi yang ditawarkan.
7. Diperkenankan mencantumkan data dalam bentuk tabel maupun diagram ke dalam esai.
8. Data referensi dicantumkan secara lengkap baik dalam bentuk kutipan langsung, catatan kaki maupun pustaka.
9. Lomba esai ini menekankan aspek orisinalitas pemikiran, argumentasi, ketajaman analisa serta kemungkinan solusi yang ditawarkan.
10. Keputusan Dewan Juri bersifat mutlak, mengikat dan tidak bisa diganggu-gugat.
11. Naskah yang masuk menjadi hak panitia dan tidak dikembalikan. Panitia berhak untuk mempublikasikan naskah esai dengan tetap mencantumkan nama penulis.

1. Judul ditulis dalam lembar terpisah pada halaman judul dengan mencantumkan data diri peserta (Nama, Tanggal Lahir, Asal SMA/Universitas, nomer telepon/HP, alamat rumah dan email).
